Well my Secret Garden is making progress and becoming a secluded little place to have a read or reflect and a nice cup of tea…
Still lots more to do though!
Just in case you were wondering… I haven’t disappeared off the face of the earth – I have been working hard – but even though I could easily write a book on “The Adventures of a Curate” I don’t blog this stuff as it feels quite inappropriate to do that; I have been doing the stuff mums of teenagers do – which generally includes a lot of taxi-driving; I have been attempting to keep on top of all the other demands of life – so generally sinking under a pile of ironing and other housework; and this week I have a week off – hurrah, which means you may even see the next picture in the “progress of the secret garden” (this is what I’m calling it now – click here if you’re clueless!) series. I now have lots of plants that need to make their way into lots of nice pots, but of course it’s supposed to rain most of this week. I won’t let that stop me though, I’ll do the planting in the rain if necessary – though enjoying the space will be easier when the weather improves!
I think I’m becoming due for a mid-life crisis, any suggestions?
Edit in light of comments received so far: Some interesting thoughts appearing, I’ll bear them in mind if I ever suspect a crisis coming on. It’s not seeming very likely though as I started doing a job I love only three years ago after a long time of preparation and effort, and as I’ve already got a few dreams to hope for (having dreams being TractorGirl’s suggestion). They’re quite simple ones… like getting an old VW Camper (which TeenSon promises to buy me when he’s rich!) and spending lots of time in secluded, beautiful places like the Yorkshire Dales and Lakes! Maybe even to have a little cottage somewhere one day… but that’s possibly a bit unattainable!
Anyway, it’s probably a good job I’m not brewing a crisis seeing as no-one has suggested a Porsche yet as the answer! ![]()
